Carbon Balanced Paper, Print and Packaging is a simple way for organisations to support nature, biodiversity and help reduce the current unavoidable carbon emissions of your business, client’s printed communications and paper packaging.
Carbon Balanced projects are certified to well-recognised international standards and include both;
Conserving high value carbon-rich habitats, which avoids the release of stored carbon and supports continued gradual natural carbon sequestration, whilst providing essential protection of the homes of hundreds of threatened species.
Reforestation projects that regenerate degraded habitats, increasing natural carbon removal capacity whilst maintaining a focus on wider community conservation goals and protection beyond CO2 removals alone.

Forests are the lungs of the Earth, producing around 30% of our oxygen. Forests provide habitats for 80% of amphibian species, 75% of bird species and 68% of mammal species. Yet, since 1990, it is estimated that some 420 million hectares of forest have been lost—that’s almost half the area of the entire United States.
Contributions to the Carbon Balanced programme are used to protect land from deforestation and degradation, preventing the release of CO2 into the atmosphere, as well as supporting reforestation regeneration and direct carbon removal. All carbon projects are certified to well-recognised international standards which preserve and create invaluable ecosystems.
